Via Ferrata - Alpina-Tour. DMC Tour Operator in Aosta Valley and Chamonix

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata routes are built into rock faces with cables and ladders and other equipment designed to facilitate people’s progression along the route and to optimize their security.

Via Ferrata is now a new activity in its own right for people keen to try something a little more challenging than alpine hiking.

Aosta Valley - via Ferrata di Casimiro.

This is one of the best via ferrata in Aosta Valley, located in Rhêmes-Notre-Dame (1700m). Fun is guaranteed at all thanks to the various possible combinations. The Tibetan bridges, the edge, the corners, the chamois trails are some of the most distinctive and exciting passages of this route with a beautiful panoramic view.

Chamonix - via Ferrata la Curalla.

Via ferrata is located on the Plateau d’Assy close to the village Passy, there you can admire the amazing Notre-Dame de Toute Grâce church. The difficulty of the via ferrata is medium. Supposedly it is the only via ferrata opposite Mont-Blanc, so the view, especially with clear weather, is amazing

This Via Ferrata is not accessible for children under 10 years old (under 1m50 height).

Duration: 2 to 2½ hours

Our guides provide all necessary equipment.

In Aosta Valley and Chamonix there are a lot routes of different difficulties, starting from beginner level to those for experienced walkers. We suggest you to start with a relatively simple via ferrata, with a minimum altitude (300-400m) which takes about 1.5-2.5 hours to complete.
If you have never tried rock climbing or via ferrata before we strongly suggest hiring an alpine guide. Via Ferratas are safe, but they are extremely high and if you are not used to dangling off of a cliff you may want to have a professional around.
