Guided tours in Turin and museums visits

You’ll visit the main urban centre, characterized by its baroque squares.
The central square of Turin, Piazza Castello, in which there are:
Royal Palace – the official residence of the kings of Savoy;
Church San Lorenzo, a masterpiece of baroque architecture. This building hosted the first Italian Parliament;
The Senate, a real “history book” in Turin, where baroque, medieval and roman architecture are found;
Turin Cathedral, which houses the Shroud of Turin – one of the most important Christian relics.
If you wish, you can integrate the visit with a flight over the city by helicopter and/or take a ride in an open carriage.

The National Automobile Museum was founded in 1932 and presents a very interesting collection, nearly 200 original cars, from the mid-800 to the present day, created by over eighty different brands from Italy, France, Britain, Germany , Holland, Spain, Poland and the United States. The Museum has recently reopened after a radical transformation of the building and of the collections display, rearranged by Francois Confino.
Here we will tell the story of the motor car, its transformation from a means of transport to an object of worship, from its origins right up to the contemporary evolution of creative thought. Through the evolution of the car, we will narrate the epoch-making times that society has experienced.
The ground floor, the last one to be visited, entirely devoted to design, or the planning that goes into a car, the creative path that precedes the production of a motor car and which it depends on. The first flooris divided into eight rooms with an exhibition area of 3,800 square metres.
The second floor is where the visit starts. 21 rooms, over an area of 3,600 square metres, tell how the car was born, was developed and became popular, keeping pace with the evolution of the 20th century.

The Mole Antonelliana is the one of the famous monument symbols of Turin. The building is home to the first museum of cinema in the world, as well as a panoramic point of excellence. In the museum you will have the chance to visit some areas devoted to the different kinds of film categories.

The museum’s property includes the collections dedicated to the cinema’s archaeology (Prolo and Barnes collections), to the history of photography (tools and accesories, photographical documents), to the cinema’s collections (posters and advertisements, photographical documents, tools and accessorizes, sets’ materials, collections of recordings and tape recordings) and a huge film library constituted by more than 7,000 films, which, belonging to different cinematographies, run through the cinema’s history from the origins to present days.
