Swiss Riviera: Geneva – Lausanne – Vevey – Montreux

Geneva‘s most famous monument, Jet d’Eau, is the world’s tallest water fountain and provides a constant landmark for exploring the city.

Geneva’s ancient Old Town offers a living glimpse of the past while Geneva’s more than thirty museums and art galleries capture the rich and vibrant history of the city including the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCO).

For a change of pace take a cruise on the lake or relax in one of Geneva’s main waterfront parks.

Lausanne – the second largest city on the shores of Lake Geneva.

It is called the capital of the Olympic Movement, as it is here that the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee Convene.

You will visit the Ouchy district, one of the most beautiful areas of Lausanne, walk through the Olympic Park, will see the Town Hall, Fountain of Justice and the single metro in Switzerland, you will go up to the Old Town Square Ripon.

See Palace Rumin, the Cathedral, where lies the remains of the Countess Orlova, look at Lausanne and the lake.

Then in Vevey you can see the head office of Nestlé and the Museum of power in which is the original monument – the eight-meter plug. Walk along the shore of the lake and the streets of the old city.

ontreux. This world-famous resort town has a special microclimate. Here there are palm trees, cypresses, magnolias and laurels. You will walk along the waterfront and see the monument of Freddie Mercury. This city was a place of inspiration for many famous writers and artists such as Byron, Karamzin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Hans Christian Andersen and many others famous people.
Chillon Castle – is one of the largest and most famous medieval castles in Switzerland. It was praised by Byron’s poem “The Prisoner of Chillon.”
