After visiting Geneva and Geneva Lake, you have the possibility to get to know the fabulous, cozy and floral city of Yvoire, which is known as one of the most beautiful villages of France, 700 y.o. set in the middle of Lake Geneva.
The village was built in the fifteenth century as fortress for the Count of Savoy, Amadeus V, because this location offered an excellent sight of Geneva, Lausanne and a large part of Lake Geneva.
The town has completely preserved its medieval style and appearance, so that it still looks like a movie set for knights, musketeers and beautiful ladies.
