Lakes around Aosta
Lake Chamolé
Located at an altitude of 2325m, it has an area of 5 acres. Starting point is from Pila (18300 m), which is reachable from Aosta in 2 hours walking, or by cable car, in 18 min (the cost is 6 euro round trip). From Pila to Lake Chamolé it takes about 1h 40 min walk.
Height difference (Pila-Chamolé): 525 m.
Anyway, if you are not in the mood to walk a lot, from Pila you can climb almost to the lake by chairlift.
