Day at Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso
Ascend to the summit of Punta Helbronner (3465m) on the new, unique Sky Way cable car, where you can enjoy breathtaking 360° panoramic views. At this altitude, Mont Blanc feels within arm’s reach.
And when the weather is clear, you can even descend to the glacier!
Trip to the village of Cogne – the heart of Gran Paradiso Park, where we will stroll to the waterfalls, followed by lunch at one of the region’s finest restaurants overlooking the Gran Paradiso glacier.
The restaurant serves fresh river trout, cheese fondue, grilled meat, and other local, Italian, French, and Swiss traditional dishes.
After lunch, an excursion awaits us, along with a wine tasting session at the largest wine cooperative or one of the finest wineries in the Valle d’Aosta region, producing exquisite wines.
Then we will take a stroll through Aosta, and on the way back, if time allows, we will stop for a tasting of Fontina cheese and the highest-altitude wine in Europe.
Upon prior request and for a small additional fee, a two-hour guided tour of the ancient Roman city of Aosta, founded in 25 B.C., can be organized after lunch.
During the tour, you will explore well-preserved Roman gates, a theatre, a massive arch, towers, the cathedral, and much more.
